This is a pleasant walk but be aware there are a couple of steeper parts but nothing that can’t be handled by the average walker provided you’re not in a hurry. There are markers across the paddocks but the occasional one has been knocked over possibly by the sheep. There is no real likelihood however of getting lost. The information boards are good and the various points of interest are well marked. The Cove will have silted up since 1769 but one can still see why it was an attractive place for Cook to anchor and resupply. Best on a fine day.
